A Community Connects| Update!

The new year was not so happy for a Salisbury, North Carolina family, whose North Main Street home was badly damaged by fire just after the holiday season.  Luckily, the family was away from the home and no one was injured . . . but the damage is severe enough to render the family homeless while insurance issues get sorted out.

The community started a Go-Fund-Me page (http://www.realestatesalisbury.net/2017/01/community-in-salisbury-nc-connecting.html) to help get the family on sure footing after the fire, raising over $12,000 in just a short time span, and Greg Rapp, real estate agent with Wallace Realty in Salisbury, stepped up to the plate with a housing solution.

Greg had the beautiful brick craftsman home at 216 Mitchell Avenue in the historic Fulton Heights neighborhood listed for sale. Greg worked with the displaced family and the home owner's to arrange for a temporary lease so that the family had a secure place to live until their home in the North Main Neighborhood could be repaired.
