Why is Salisbury a historic city?

Noted Salisbury preservationist Edward H. Clement wrote a letter to the editor in the Salisbury Post’s “Sound Off” section March 3, 1979. “Why Salisbury is a historic city?” was recently reprinted in the Salisbury Post as part of a current weekly feature recognizing the Historic Salisbury Foundation’s 40th anniversary year.
